This portal began as a question:
What would happen if we could see the Sirens’ song in water?
My journey into Siren and Mermaid myth began with fascination: the beauty, mystery and power of voice in the water. But as I followed the current deeper, I realised these stories were not only about voice; they were about vibration, ecology and creation.
Siren iconography often shows singers by the sea, but the images do not show the water responding (with the vibration, the ripple, the resonance).
Water As The Mirror Of Sound
When we sing, our song moves through the waters.
Something ancient stirs within and around.
Water receives, reflects and remembers: making visible what has long been invisible.

A Note From My Journey
During my PhD research into Siren Song and Vocal Enchantment, I heard it again and again:
“I can’t sing.”
“You don’t want to hear my voice.”
“I was told not to sing.”

These words were said jokingly—but carried pain.
This is the singing wound.

Many of us carry shame around being too loud, too quiet, too emotional.
We’ve been taught that our voices should be pleasing, silent or safe.
This work sings to that silence.
Siren Song Medicine is a reclamation.
It’s an invitation to remember that you can sing.
Your voice is already enchanting.
Your unique frequency belongs.
